Enough spring, time for summer

Spring is so erratic, and the last few weeks have been a constant cycle of rain, shine, rain, shine, wind, rain etc.  Its a long weekend and luckily it is sunny, so its highly likely next week we will start thinking of building an ark again.

We’ve got at least a couple of months before summer properly arrives, which should be enough time to turn the water in our swimming pool from Kermit green to hygienic blue.  Its rained so much the pool overflows regularly, and the pool toys we neglected to put away at the end of last summer have taken a fierce lashing over winter.

The girls continue to expand their inquiring little minds.  Last weekend, in the middle of a busy Ponsonby cafe, Lucia asked in her typically roaring volume “mummy, how to babies get out of mummy’s tummies?” Read more of this post
