Ode to Les Mills (in haiku)

This is a bit silly – I felt like experimenting with the haiku and the gym was starting to give me little bursts of inspiration…Might try iambic pentameter next time…

Women’s gym busy
Why do we all look so grim?
Sweating should be fun.

Main gym macho
Amazing feats of power
Someone cracks a smile.

Pump class lifts the weights
Instructor wired and grinning
Arnie would be proud.

Bike class is humming
Whoops and cries of joy ring out
Legs and hearts go fast.

Changing room is full
Dryers and showers at full blast
Putting fact back on.

Night air crisp and dark
Cars slip out and seek their home
Halos shining bright.
